■グリッチ刺繍アーティストNukemeとのコラボレーションアイテム。

グリッチ刺繍は、コンピュータミシン用の刺繍データのバイナリを書き換え、針の動きに直接グリッチを発生させる作品です。

グリッチした画像データを刺繍としてシミュレートするのではなく、刺繍ミシンの「針の作動データ(.pes)」を直接グリッチさせていることが特徴 です。

数百パターンのデータから厳選した"BALANCEロゴ"デザインを採用しております。 今回は数シーズン展開している"BALANCE"ロゴをグリッチ(データの不具合やバグを意図的に利用)して文字をあえて崩すことで違和感あるデザインを採用しております。

ARTIST Nukeme ヌケメ 1986年岡山県に生まれ、2008年に服飾の専門学校であるエスモード大阪校を卒業後、上京。ファッションや広告業と平行して、テクノロジーを活用した作品制作にも意欲的に取り組んでいます。2012年には文化庁メディア芸術祭にて審査委員会推薦作品に、2023年にはVOCA展2024に選出されました。

■Collaboration item with glitch embroidery artist Nukeme. Glitch embroidery is a work that rewrites the binary of embroidery data for computerized sewing machines to generate glitches directly on the needle movement. The feature of this work is that it does not simulate glitched image data as embroidery, but directly glitches the "needle operation data (.pes)" of the embroidery machine. The "BALANCE logo" design is carefully selected from hundreds of patterns. This time, the "BALANCE" logo, which has been used for several seasons, is glitched (intentionally using data glitches and bugs) and the letters are deliberately broken to create an uncomfortable design.

ARTIST Nukeme Nukeme was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1986 and moved to Tokyo after graduating from ESMOD Osaka in 2008. In 2012, his work was selected as a Jury Recommended Work for the Japan Media Arts Festival, and in 2023, it was selected for the VOCA Exhibition 2024.
