ANACHRONORM celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024.

"AN20TH-005 100-YEAR PROCESSING TAPERED 5P PANTS"

pre-released at the POP-UP held at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building 6F Men's Creators

from June 19th (Wednesday).

100-YEAR PROCESSING

Miners in those days used to leave their denim in the mines

or discard it there when they left.

Later, the mines were abandoned, and the denim that was forgotten at the time

has now become extremely rare and valuable.

Inspired by such denim pants excavated from mines,

we have created a special model with damage and remodeling, incorporated into modern

fashion.

This model was produced to commemorate our 20th anniversary.

The base is ANACHRONORM's regular model

"CONTEXT-001REGULAR TAPERED 5P PANTS"

is used.

It features a relaxed fit around the waist and a clean tapered silhouette towards the hem.

The front pockets have holes on both sides as if work tools got caught and ripped them.

The frayed parts from years of wear are repaired with hand stitching, creating a realistic look.

The knees, which get the dirtiest during work, have realistic distressing and

asymmetrical heavy damage.

It's like they naturally decayed after being dormant for many years.

The remake from the left knee to the hem

was created to evoke the image of pants fabric

that was separated when excavated from a mine, and then sewn back together using modern, different fabrics.

It's a hand-stitched remake that evokes the traditional Japanese technique of Kintsugi,

which repairs broken pottery.

The difference in fabric creates a contrast,

adding to the design with this extra touch.

allowing them to naturally rust when washed or processed, thereby recreating a realistic feel.

Styling Image

Since the denim has a very strong presence,

I layered a white L/S T-shirt with a gray sweater

and tucked the hem into the denim, cinching it with a belt.

By keeping the top simple, the denim's impact can be enhanced. In summer, a single T-shirt can complete the look, so you can go out without much thought.

It took a long time from planning to production,

and even after the sample was completed,

we repeatedly made adjustments with the artisans.

We are confident that it has a profound finish,

so please look forward to it.
