Limited upcycled vintage item: "STENCIL Barbour JACKET" "BEDALE"

We are featuring the Stencil Barbour Jacket,

released exclusively on the Official Online Store on February 18th.

For this special ANSE - LABEL release, we have selected items from the long-established UK brand, Barbour. Specifically, our director personally sourced "3-warrant" items (dating from 1987 to the early 2000s), recognizable by the three royal warrant crests side-by-side, from a large collection of products.

Although there were various colors available, we narrowed our selection down to Barbour's signature deep green,

SAGE, and chose a size that can be easily layered over other clothing.

 

Afterward, these jackets were re-washed at the factory, repaired for any tears, and then stencil artist Moriya himself applied artwork to each piece, resulting in two distinct designs.

As shown in the image above, the impression changes significantly with the application of oil, enhancing its robust feel.

By using a special oil, the characteristic oil smell of conventional products is reduced, while maintaining waterproofness.

Traditionally, stenciling was the final step on a finished item, but with this first-time attempt of applying oil after the stencil design, the stencil now emits a dull sheen and changes expression depending on the viewing angle, creating a profound and tasteful finish.

 

Due to variations in stencil blurring and the color saturation of re-proofing, each item is one-of-a-kind.

This time, we are releasing a limited edition of 6 BEDALE models, a classic Barbour style.

Developed as a short-length waxed jacket for horseback riding, it features side vents that don't get in the way when mounted, and ribbed cuffs designed to prevent wind from entering the sleeves.
